Purpose
Use this focused monthly review to test whether lone-working controls are being used, supported and improved—not simply whether a device contract or policy exists.
Evidence review
- Review changes in visits, locations, hours, people, travel and known threats.
- Review missed, late or extended check-ins and whether escalation worked as intended.
- Review device tests, faults, charging, signal and configuration issues.
- Review practice, false and genuine activations without blaming staff for raising an alarm.
- Check responder or monitoring-centre actions against the agreed plan.
- Check incident reports, evidence, welfare support and learning actions.
- Identify new-starter, role-change, confidence and refresher needs.
- Give outstanding supplier, policy and management actions an owner and due date.
Monthly decision
Record the level of management confidence, the most important action, its owner and its completion date. Carry incomplete actions into the next review.
